Startup

Touch Pie replaces noisy startup output with a calm centered welcome. Details are still available through expansion or /startup.

• Startup context, skills, extensions, and diagnostics stay hidden unless requested.

Thinking badge

The footer reads the effective thinking level from the current model and supported levels. It does not force xhigh.

• Shows think:<level> based on effective runtime state.
• Clamps display to model-supported levels.
• Adds subtle shimmer for xhigh and ultra.

Install safety

Installation is designed to be clear and reversible. The global npm install only prepares commands and PATH. The touch-pie command applies Pi changes with a restore point.

AGENTS.md

Touch Pie can provide a generic engineering AGENTS.md template, but only if the user does not already have one.

Safe

No secrets, model config, tokens, history, private paths, or real settings are included.

No overwrite

Existing ~/.pi/agent/AGENTS.md is backed up and left unchanged.

Commands

touch-pie

Install and verify the customized Pi package.

pie

Launch Pi through the persistent daily command.

pie update

Update the global package and re-sync Pi configuration.

touch-pie uninstall

Restore files and PATH from the saved restore point.

Boundaries

Touch Pie intentionally avoids broad machine changes.

• No postinstall changes to Pi settings, AGENTS.md, core files, tokens, or history.
• Core patch is opt-in through --apply-core-patch.
• WeChat bridge is bundled but starts quietly and does not ship user tokens.
